Breast implants are medical devices. Like all medical devices, they provide certain benefits, but also pose certain health risks. If you are considering breast implant surgery, it is very important to understand the nature and extent of these risks before you make a decision. The decision to choose breast implant surgery can only be made by you in consultation with your doctor. No matter what you’ve heard, it’s a fact that females masturbate almost as much as men do. Though women don’t necessesarily feel the urgency to masturbate that men do, they definately experience periods of heightened sexual arousal, particularly during puberty. Women tend to experience emotional as well as physical arousal so fantasies, mood and enviorment can all play a big part in the enjoyment of female masturbation.

Problems with Breast Implants

As breast implant size increases, so does the diameter of the breast implant. In most cases, there is a breast implant that will be an ideal match for the diameter of the patient’s natural breast, and I find this is a good starting point for discussion.
Choosing a breast implant smaller than the patient’s natural breast shape will not provide the proper cleavage and shape following the procedure. Similarly, choosing a breast implant too large for the patient’s natural chest shape is more likely to give an unnatural appearance.

Cancer Screening

Silicone breast implants are known to be associated with calcium deposits in the breast. These calcium deposits can make it even more difficult to obtain a clear mammogram than it already is. The implant itself already causes some obscuring of the tissue, which makes mammograms difficult. The calcium deposits make it even worse. It is not known why calcium deposits form around silicone implants, but they do not appear to be harmful. However, in general, calcium deposits can be indicative of a nearby cancer. Therefore, the presence of silicone implants may make it difficult to determine if there is cancer present or if all the mammogram is showing are the effects of the implant.

There have been numerous claims that silicone implant rupture increases the risk of autoimmune disease (disease where body attacks itself), specifically scleroderma.  Lawsuits have been initiated exploring this association, although medical studies have yet to substantiate such claims.  If you have unusual symptoms, you should see your physician.  It is generally recommended to remove silicone implants in those who have symptoms.

Breast Implant Side Effects

As with any surgery, breast augmentation surgery has some associated risks. Though infrequent, complications can result in further treatment or a longer recovery. Risks associated with breast implant surgery could include obstructed mammography, breast feeding issues, infection, and possible implant leakage. This article presents several types of side effects that you should know about.

Breast Implant Support Groups

In the early 90s there were a number of breast implant support groups - for both saline and silicone gel breast implants - around the United States. In one group the young women were comparing their crippled fingers from arthritis. Most had fibromyalgia.  These were not typical health problems for women who were so young. Some young women had been diagnosed with breast cancer.  One woman had developed a lump on her wrist.  When they did a biopsy it was discovered that it was a silicone deposit.
