Introduction

Tribulus Terrestris is a persistent wild plant that grows all over the world. Known as Gokshura in Ayurveda, it is a horizontal spreading plant specially adapted to arid zones. Its fruits are covered with hard spines. It grows in hot arid regions of India. It belongs to Zygophyllaceae family. Any imbalance in these levels will cause body to become vulnerable to sickness and diseases. Tribulus helps to maintain the delicate balance in the human body.

These include kidney stones, edema, cystitis etc. The fruit has also been found useful in treatment of diseases of the reproductive system. Spermatorrea, impotence, gonorrhea etc. diseases can be treated with this herb and its fruit. It is also employed in the treatment of heart diseases, cough and gout.
